Prepare your ePhoto online, without travelling, with a capture mode designed to help with difficulties taking a photo.
Studio ePhoto offers a dedicated phone capture mode for people with disabilities or reduced mobility. Select a checkbox to enable adapted capture: you control when to take the photo and can ask someone close to you for help.
If a disability makes it difficult to look directly at the lens, keep your head straight or maintain a stable posture, enable adapted capture.
No diagnosis, supporting document or medical detail will be requested or stored.
After choosing your document, scroll down the preparation screen to “Does a disability make taking the photo difficult?”.
Select “Adapt the capture to my disability”. The message “Adapted capture enabled” immediately confirms your choice.
No diagnosis or medical certificate is required to enable this option.
The checkbox is selected. In the photo process, adapted mode will be used when the camera opens.
Adapted mode changes how the photo is taken. Here is how it differs from the standard automatic selfie mode.
In standard selfie mode, the photo is taken automatically when the required conditions are met. In adapted mode, you or the person helping you press the button when you are ready.
Someone close to you holds the phone. You tell them when you are ready, and they request the photo.
Pose, gaze, expression and sharpness no longer all have to pass before the camera can take the photo. They are checked on the captured image before you can continue.
The guidance has not yet accepted your head position. Adapted mode may allow you to take the photo, without guaranteeing that the resulting image will be accepted.
If you blink as you press the button, the request may wait briefly to capture a usable image. Your eyes must be open when the photo is taken.
You press the button while blinking. The photo may be taken once your eyes are open again, provided the other conditions are met.
Some checks remain essential. Your face must be detected and correctly framed, only one person may appear, and the liveness check is still required. Adapted capture does not waive photo compliance requirements.
If reduced mobility makes holding the phone or touching the screen difficult, someone close to you or a carer can handle the device. You must remain the only person in the frame.
Below “Open the camera”, the option “Is someone helping you? Use the rear camera” is available for taking the photo with someone’s help.
The person helping you can position the phone at face level, adjust the framing on screen and request the photo. This assistance concerns the photo; for the signature, you must still follow the instructions for your application.

No. It makes taking the photo easier and changes the checks required before capture. The resulting photo is still checked for compliance. You may be asked to retake it before continuing your order.
These checks remain necessary in our process. Contact us before paying and explain which step you cannot complete. Adapted mode does not bypass these checks and is not suitable for every situation.
Helping you take the photo does not automatically give someone the right to sign for you. Follow the instructions for the document you are applying for. For a minor, the DCEM process explains who must sign depending on the situation.
Yes. You can view your prepared photo before signing and paying. An expert then reviews your photo after payment and before the ePhoto code is issued.
